The George W. Reagan Company was selected as the general contractor for North Broadway Retail Shops by competitive bid. With a tight construction schedule and the project duration spanning the wet spring months, scheduling was maintained, and the project was completed on time. Additional effort to maintain the schedule was required due to difficult site conditions including contaminated soils, site utilities connections, and relocating site utilities. The construction consists of reinforced concrete slab on grade, masonry block, structural steel beam and columns, steel joist, steel roof deck, and EPDM roofing. Exterior elevations include insulation finish system, brick and prairie stone masonry creating curb appeal.
