The George W. Reagan Company is a full sized general contractor and we are committed to provide our clients a quality product. Since 1934, we have had the privilege to construct a number of projects in Knoxville and the surrounding counties. From small to multi million dollar projects, each job is treated as though it were our most important. We perform a large amount of work for repeat clients due to our commitment to their satisfaction. We realize that trust must be earned and cannot be acquired. We have constructed medical facilities, offices, retail centers, restaurants, assisted living facilities, studios, schools, churches, food processing facilities, hospitals, gymnasiums, distribution centers, terminals, factories, and warehouses. The majority of our work has been obtained by either “traditional bid”, “team/build”, or “negotiated” methods of contract.
TRADITIONAL BID
We welcome the opportunity to competitively bid projects due to our low overhead margins. Through out our long history, the George W. Reagan Company has obtained numerous projects as a result. We have great relationships with some of the best subcontractors and material vendors in the area and this translates into savings on “bid day”. It is possible to deliver a quality product for a fair and, yet, competitive price.
TEAM/BUILD
The team/build approach to construction brings the owner, designer and contractor together at the conception of the project. We offer team/build services with the ability to team with several local architects and engineers. The advantage to the team/build method allows the experience of the designer, the contractor, and the subcontractors to ensure a cost effective and timely project. In this relationship, the contractor is responsible for analyzing and coordinating major building systems, materials and equipment in order to identify the most cost efficient value: a quality product at a reasonable price. By coordinating the design and construction teams, we are able to complete jobs on time and within budget.
NEGOTIATED CONTRACTS
The majority of our work is from negotiated contracts. We offer extensive preconstruction services in order to meet the client’s budget and schedule. Our experience and our team allow us to provide quality, accountability and accessibility to each and every client. Value engineering is a coherent benefit of negotiated contracting. The advantage to the negotiated contract allows the experience of the contractor and the subcontractors to ensure the highest quality of the finished product at the most efficient cost.
